Die finebrain™ TaxonomyEngine beschlagwortet automatisch Inhalte und verknüpft diese mit Themenstrukturen (Taxonomien). Die Software verbindet Informationen aus unterschiedlichsten Quellen über eine gemeinsame Themenstruktur und macht die Inhalte damit navigier-, such- und filterbar, unabhängig davon, ob es sich dabei um interne oder externe Quellen und Inhalte handelt (“Taxonomy-based Content Integration”). Kombiniert mit der automatischen Erfassung und Strukturierung von Inhalten im offenen Internet, womit diese für den individuellen Unternehmenszweck gefiltert und nutzbar gemacht werden (“Virtual Content Integration”), eröffnet die finebrain Technologie aktuellsten Zugang zur relevanten Information.
Für finebrains Methode und Technologie erteilte das amerikanische Patentamt USPTO am 31. August 2010 das Patent:
